AI Game  # 004

I make a different games with AI.  There may be bugs, strange behaviors, balance problems, confusing mechanics, or things that simply don't work the way they should. You tell me in comments what's wrong  If something is broken,  confusing,  boring, tell me.  We improve the game.

# ANT COLONY

Build a tiny colony. Turn it into a living underground empire.

ANT COLONY is a pixel-art incremental colony simulator where your ants work, dig, explore, evolve, and grow stronger over time.

Start with a small colony and gradually transform it into a complex underground ecosystem.

## 🐜 BUILD YOUR COLONY

Gather food, grow your population, and manage your workforce.

Assign ants to different roles:

• Workers

• Excavators

• Soldiers

• Explorers

• Engineers

Every new ant can help your colony become more productive and capable.

## ⛏️ DIG DEEPER

Expand your underground world by carving new chambers and digging deeper into the soil.

Build specialized rooms such as:

• Nurseries

• Granaries

• Cisterns

• Barracks

• Fungus Farms

• Workshops

Your colony grows physically as it grows economically.

## 🌱 GROW YOUR SKILL TREE

Your colony has a living technology tree.

Grow roots, branches, leaves, flowers, and eventually fruit to unlock new abilities and powerful upgrades.

The deeper your colony develops, the more sophisticated its abilities become.

## 🗺️ EXPLORE THE SURFACE

Send Explorer ants beyond the nest to discover new locations.

Each location can provide unique bonuses and one-time resource rewards.

Exploration gives your colony new opportunities — but also introduces new challenges.

## 🧬 EVOLVE

When your colony becomes powerful enough, you can evolve.

Prestige your colony and exchange your current progress for permanent DNA upgrades.

Start again.

Grow faster.

Evolve further.

Build a colony that can go beyond the previous generation.

## ⏳ AN IDLE COLONY

Your colony doesn't stop when you leave.

ANT COLONY continues working while you're away and calculates your offline progress when you return.

Come back to see what your ants accomplished while you were gone.

## 🎨 PIXEL-ART WORLD

Everything in ANT COLONY is generated directly by the game.

The ants, chambers, vegetation, environments, music, and sound effects are created at runtime from a single self-contained HTML file.

No external art assets are required.

## 💾 YOUR COLONY PERSISTS

Progress is automatically saved in your browser.

Close the game.

Come back later.

Your colony will still be there.

---

Build your nest.

Grow your colony.

Dig deeper.

Explore farther.

Evolve beyond.

the UI blocks off part of the upgrade tree

Thanks for the comment; you're absolutely right. I'm currently working on fixing it. I'll try to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.

Seems fun, but the non-dismissible popup 'tutorial' text blocks stuff you need to see, especially on the tree. It took me a lot of random clicking to figure out you had to start with one of the upgrades at the top (because I couldn't read anything for any of them). I almost gave up, thinking maybe the upgrade button was permanently blocked.

Once I got past that, though, pretty good!

Thanks for the comment; you're absolutely right. I had the same problem while testing the game, and I'm currently working on fixing it. I'll try to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. The entire game was made using AI, and I'm working on improving it.

I think there are some tree upgrades that are hiding under the info box (even when the tutorial is gone) as well? Colony Memory I can find randomly clicking but I think maybe the Ancestral Thrift (unless that one is hiding somewhere else). Still, I'm heading into my second evolution, so fun!
